Decolonized Motherhood on Substack

Have you heard that I joined Substack? My goal on the platform is to share my academic work and experience, overall thought leadership on social justice education, and create a community for Decolonized Motherhood. Therefore, I invite you to subscribe to receive updates below:

Why Substack?

Substack will give me, Christie Lazo, the opportunity to expand beyond Decolonized Motherhood related topics and themes, as well as share about my personal academic journey while keeping this website specifically about Decolonized Motherhood.

In addition, something important to me is creating and nurturing a presence through the work I do. As an academic, it is important my work is seen and recognized. Substack is also a great way to connect with others who may be doing similar or intersectional work.

While there is a paid option on Substack to support Decolonized Motherhood, a self-funded project, there is no pressure to subscribe. The paid subscription option will have special perks for community members in gratitude for their support and contributions.

But Seriously, Why Should I Follow?

Aside from the chisme (gossip) on what’s going on in my academic trajectory, this is an opportunity to keep up with my personal critical analysis of topics related to social justice education, un- and decolonial approaches, and liberatory reimaginings.

As I mentioned earlier, the Decolonized Motherhood website will continue to be home to all things involving my work within decolonizing motherhood, such as the Decolonized Motherhood Podcast. Therefore, some content may cross over from time to time but I will be intentional in ensuring that Decolonized Motherhood primarily lives here. So If you’re interested in the work I do beyond this website, definitely subscribe and follow along!

Also, subscribing is a great way to support the work I do. ✌🏽😘
