I had the wonderful pleasure of recording a podcast episode with my mom friend, Kat Antonopoulos. What started as a random discussion over Instagram DMs about a post I shared from @Empowered.Parenting turned into a podcast episode. We mamas discuss the positive and negatives around the word “no” and why we may not want to use it with our children because of how it impacted us as now adults, but also why sometimes it is also necessary to use it.
Kat Antonopoulos is a mama of 3 living in Toronto, Canada. She is an incredible and kick-ass mother and woman who was previously a freelance writer/journalist, who has written for Slice, Brit + Co, and Today’s Parent, and now works in the advertising industry.
You can connect with Kat on Twitter at @kitten_arms.
In the episode, we mentioned that Kat and I met thanks to Tanvi of Little Sister Baking. If you’re in the greater Toronto area, I HIGHLY recommend visiting them at their new location and trying out the best India-inspired snacks and sweets.
