This Sweet Peach Baskets recipe was a huge hit with my family. Believe it or not, I accidentally ordered puff pastry instead of filo pastry and had some peaches that need to be eaten ASAP, so this recipe came right from my imagination.
A quick, easy and super delicious peaches dessert recipe.
In case it is frozen, remove puff pastry package from freezer and thaw until no longer hard.
Pre-heat over to 350 degrees.
Wash and cut peaches into small squares.
In a bowl, add peaches, cinnamon and sugar and mix.
Roll out the thawed puff pastry and cut into 12 squares per sheet.
Grease pan with oil or butter.
Hold one of the puff pastry squares in your palm and add about a teaspoon full of peach mix.
Gather the 4 corners of puff pastry squares and twist slightly. Gently place on baking pan.
Once the pan is full of peach baskets, put them in the oven and bake until slightly brown on edges. This normally takes about 15-20 minutes in the oven.
Once baked, sprinkle powdered sugar on top. An alternative is using coarse sugar instead of powdered.
I should note that I used the 7 Days Bake It Puff Pastry, however you can use another brand if you prefer or make your own. Additionally, you can edit the amount of sugar and cinnamon that you use depending of the level of sweetness that you prefer.
This dessert is great for an after-dinner treat, but if plated correctly it can be a great dinner party dessert. I would recommend plating it warm with vanilla ice cream.
